Earth Day Celebrations

Students of all ages honored Mother Earth and pledged to do our part to save the environment! We recycled boxes into butterfly wings! Students built their own edible dirt cups using chocolate pudding, cookie crumbles, and a gummy worm! It wouldn't be a proper celebration unless students were provided an opportunity to get their hand and toes into the Earth! What a fun week learning about reducing, reusing, and recycling.

Nature Suncatchers

It is warm outside! The trees and bushes around our school are bright green! Students went on a nature walk around campus to collect bright colors and objects that inspired them. In the classroom, we used paper plates, markers, and contact paper to turn our collection into a sun catcher! Bring on the sunshine, we are ready for you!

Shake It!

Our 3 year old chefs poured heavy cream into tupperware containers this morning. Then, they SHOOK, SHOOK, SHOOK the container as fast as they could! It took teamwork! After all that shaking, they discovered that they made butter! Thier class made butter was served with crackers and a sprinkle of salt. YUM!

EGGSploration Day at AOILV!

Students had a busy week filled with Spring Time activities. 2 year old students in the Preschool classroom used paint and peeps to create patterns! Pre-Kindergarten 3 year olds worked on letter identification by rolling and matching eggs. The Easter Bunny stopped by for a party in our Enrichment Classroom! He left many surprises for the students in their classrooms!
