Bye-bye Butterflies!

This week at AoILV we watched as our beautiful butterflies flew away on our Pre-K playground.
If you haven’t been reading our blog or checking our Instagram, we got a butterfly kit a couple of weeks ago. We’ve watched and waited for our tiny caterpillars to turn into beautiful butterflies.
We’ve talked and used our imaginations about what each butterfly would look like.
We named each one.
We loved our caterpillars but we cherished the beauty that came with the change into their final stages.
But like every good and beautiful thing, we must say our “See you laters”.
We cannot wait to see them flying around and spreading their wings.
Don’t just take my word for it.
Check out how beautiful they really were.

Beautiful Butterflies!

This week at AoILV we learned all about butterflies!
We recently bought a butterfly kit and it is currently stationed at the front desk.
While we have watched them start out as little caterpillars now they grown into bigger caterpillars that have now harden into chrysalides.
Our next steps will be taking our lid off of the cup they are currently in and placing their lid on a log.
From there, we will watch as our tiny caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies.
The children designed their own butterflies into what they thought our butterflies would look like. Check it out!

That’s a wrap!

As Teacher Appreciation Week is wrapping up we wanted to give a huge shout out to everyone who donated a meal or gifted our teachers.
We definitely felt all the love and support from each family!
Monday, we were provided bagels from The Perez Family.
We also received donations from Whitt’s Barbecue. (Woody’s Western Round-Up)

Tuesday, we hosted Buzz’s Breakfast which was donated by Panera Bread.
(Because Teacher Appreciation Week carbs DON’T count!)

Wednesday, Cowboy Cuisine, was a huge hit with our staff. Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Carrabba’s Italian Grill donate a family size salad, enough chicken for each of our staff members to have two pieces (There’s almost 40 of us!) and a family sized linguine Positano!

Thursday, Fox’s Pizza Den donated sooooooo many pizzas. (Pizza Planet) Not only just pizza either, we had cheese sticks, cinnamon sticks and a family size salad!

Friday was the sweetest! We were fortunate enough to have Maggie Moo’s donate a cookie cake just for our teachers. We also want to give a shoutout to The Maurer family who brought us all the sweetest cupcakes! We took the time and took as many pictures we could take. These are the memories we want to keep. Now to start planning next years!
(If you have any ideas, we would love to hear them!)

We had the best week showering our teachers with all the love and gifts from each and every family.
We couldn’t be more thankful for the love and support. We appreciate your family keeping us in mind this week and take time and money out of your day to shower our teachers.
We couldn’t be more thankful that your family is apart of our Academy Family.
Never forget...

Teacher Appreciation Week Kick Off!

This week at AoILV is ALLLL about our teachers!
We know that things have been a little difficult during this pandemic, but our girls showed up and showed out. The countless hours, the dedication and hard work they put into their daily routines definitely did not go unnoticed.
So this week, we are celebrating them!
We want to show them that nothing they do goes unnoticed. That all the lesson plans that were sent through emails, meant more than they realize.
We want them to feel all the love and support!
That’s where you come in!
This week we are asking that you show your appreciation for your child’s teacher. It doesn’t have to cost anything. It could simply be a hand written letter from your little. It could be a card from you. However, if you do decide to do something for a teacher we have baskets located in our Enrichment Room with each teacher’s names on them. Just simply find your child’s teacher and drop it in her basket.
No matter what, we thank y’all from the bottom of our hearts for everything. Without y’all, we wouldn’t be able to do things of this sort.
Check out our pictures from this years Teacher Appreciation Week!
& Remember...
