Toddler Math

Did you know that toddlers can learn math concepts?
During math week at AoILV, our toddlers explored shapes!
They used their fine motor and spatial skills to touch, grasp and match shapes with their counterparts!

That's a SQUARE!

The CIRCLE goes here!

Almost done!

ORANGE is my favorite color!

Math is FUN!

Gardening

Preschool 2 has chosen a "Gardening" theme for their Power of Play focus this summer.
Here's a snapshot and what they are learning with each activity!

"Stem Trimming"
This activity builds fine motor skills and teaches responsibility and care for plants.

"Seed Provocation"
After we read The Tiny Seed, we explored real leaves and seeds!
This activity provides a visual and sensory activity to enhance our early comprehension.

To take our theme outdoors, we planted bright flowers in our flower bed!

Outdoor experiences enhance our senses and help us make sense of the world around us.

We even conducted a science experiment to see our stems change colors!

Stop by to see our garden!

WATER DAY

Water Day at The Academy of Indian Lake Village has been in full swing!
Preschool One explored lots of water play toys today!
Some were to fill, some were to dump, some strained the water, and we even "washed clothes"!

Splash, splash!
