Science with Jack and Jill
We decided to put a fun twist on Hills and Hens week by incorporating a little science! This week during nursery rhyme month, we have been talking about Jack and Jill. Today we decided we would help them carry their pails of water up and down the hill by creating homemade pulleys!

Learning Perspectives
Our children at AoILV learn in so many ways. Curriculum, self exploration and provocation activities are all equally as important to development. Check out a few ways we incorporate all components in our holistic approach!
The Get Set for School/Handwriting Without Tears curriculum teaches our late 3's and early 4's how to write the alphabet while properly holding a writing utensil.
PreK discussed air transportation during a science activity and these two were observed creating an airport soon after!
Free Play is also extremely beneficial. This allows children to make sense of the world around them, problem solve and explore interests with confidence. These dinosaurs are separated into herbivores and carnivores.
And of course, you can't go wrong with a cardboard box! It's a blank canvas and the sky is the limit! It looks like this may have been a toddler carpool to the toy box!
Come GROW, LEARN and PLAY with us!
