Pumpkin patch

The cool weather of fall is all around us now it seems. It is always a nice change from the summer. With the leaves changing and Halloween fast approaching we are getting in the fall spirit at The Academy Of Indian Lake Village. Going to pumpkin patches is so much fun! Being able to go and see all of the different shapes and sizes of the pumpkins and getting to pick out the perfect one just for you!! It is such a wonderful time of year. Finger Prints

We in honor of personal safety month here at The Academy, we asked the Sumner county Sheriffs to come here to do some finger printing. It is important to get your children fingerprinted, should anything ever happen and you need them you have them on hand! We had 3 sheriffs here to do fingerprinting. It was great to see the amount of parents who partook in the fingerprinting. The sheriffs were also doing seat belt and car seat checks, they do free checks if you go to their office as well.  The sheriffs are always involved in something in the community check out their website to see where they will be next Sumner County Sheriffs . Personal safety is very important, it is great to teach your children at an early age here is a website on how to talk to your children about Personal safety. It is also important to teach children about stranger danger .

Pre-K Creations

There are many things that are important for the proper brain development of a child. Building with blocks is one of those important learning experiences for every child. It is so good for them to be able to build and create a world all their own with blocks. Children learn a variety of things when they make masterpieces with block, some of those things include math skills, spatial reasoning and many more! We encourage all of our friends here at The Academy Of Indian Lake Village to build with blocks a lot and let their imaginations soar!
