Hermit Crabs!

At The Academy of Indian Lake Village we love animals!  Ms. Celeste, our Preschool1 teacher, brought in hermit crabs for a class pet!  They were a hit!  The students are absolutely loving having these new special friends in their classroom!

Ms. Celeste and Ms. Shea talked with students about where the hermit crabs live, why they have a shell as well as responsibility and using gentle hands!

Mr. Jack enjoyed feeling the shell!

Knox is using gentle hands while holding the crab.

Will the crab come out of his shell?
