Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Look who stopped by—what a sight to see! The Cat in the Hat came to AOILV! With a tip of his hat and a mischievous grin, He brought lots of giggles and fun right in! Stories and rhymes filled the air, With Thing 1 and Thing 2 dancing everywhere! Our preschoolers laughed, oh what a delight, As the Cat made their day extra bright! Books, imagination, and fun galore, At AOILV, we always love to explore! So hip-hip-hooray, a day oh-so grand, With Dr. Seuss magic right here firsthand!

Oscar Party!

AOILV was proud to host our 3rd Annual Oscar Party! The Oscars are an award ceremony celebrating excellence in our favorite movies! We are all celebrities at AOILV! Students walked the red carpet, avoided the paparazzi, collected their Oscar Award, and then headed to after party! Winners celebrated by toasting sparking grape juice!

Dental Health Month

In February, our health and safety focus was Dental Health! We invited Just 4 Kids pediatric dentistry to come on campus to discuss how sugar can damage our teeth! We learned about brushing techniques, songs, and how to floss! Thank you Just 4 Kids for also bringing a Dental Health Kit for each student! It's never too early to start taking care of your baby teeth!

Black History Month

AOILV honors Black History Month throughout February! Students traveled to outer space with Mae Jamison! She was the 1st African American Women to travel to the International Space Station in 1992! We also learned that Barack Obama was the 44th President of the United States AND the 1st African American President in 2009!

Spreading Love!

Teachers participated in a "Love is Blind" competition. They were secretly tasked to write Valentines to each other! We even got the families involved by celebrating how much WE love the parents that we serve! We made our families dinner and also helped with drop off and pick up! It takes a village!

The Sweetheart Social

The Sweetheart Social is our Valentines Day Pick-Up Party! The Sweetheart Social is set up in our large Enrichment Classroom and is designed for families and learners to create memories together! Students can bowl, build, decorate cookies, and snuggle at our lovePUG cuddle station! We even had balloon animals and a kissing booth!

Love Potions

Students on campus mixed together love potions to spray on friends hands and hearts! Students chose between red, purple, or blue potion for their bottle. Then, they added some glitter and their favorite scented oil. Some students chose lavendar, some chose strawberry, and some chose chocolate! Students decorated their potion bottles and took them home! Did you know that if you spray a friend with your love potion they will give you a high five or a hug?! How LOVEly!

SOUP-er Bowl Week!

While football players prepare for the big game, our Health and Wellness Coordinator, Chef Nakia, is gearing up for her own SOUP-er Bowl! This week on the menu: SOUP! Our menu and school calendar are curated to excite little learners for the day ahead!

Construction Terms

As we begin building our engineering skills this month, students are being introduced to construction terms and shapes! Today students explored a circle/the wheel! Students are building letters with circles, using their bodies to create letters, and exploring the benefits of a round wheel compared to a square wheel!

Baby Doll Circle Time

One of the most effective and nurturing ways to foster emotional intelligence, empathy, and connection in young children is through Baby Doll Circle Time. This interactive, relationship-building activity provides little ones with a safe and engaging way to explore feelings, strengthen bonds, and practice essential social skills.
