We had a wheel-y exciting Bike Day at preschool, and it was one for the books! Our campus was buzzing with energy as we wrapped up our “Things That Go” theme in the most fun (and fast!) way possible.
A huge highlight of the day was a special visit from the Hendersonville Police bike officers, who rolled in ready to teach and inspire. Our students loved learning all about bike safety—from the importance of wearing helmets to how to safely ride up and down hills like pros. The officers even helped with helmet checks to make sure everyone was snug, safe, and ready to ride!
The excitement didn’t stop there… they also brought a real motor bike for students to sit on! You can imagine the smiles (and a few future officers in the making 😉).
Throughout the day, our little riders practiced their biking skills, built confidence, and learned how to stay safe while having fun. It was the perfect combination of hands-on learning, community connection, and outdoor adventure.
We’re so proud of our Bike Day crew—truly “two-tired” to stop learning and growing! 🚴♂️💛

March Madness Has Hit AOILV! 🏀✨
The excitement of NCAA March Madness has made its way to our campus—and our little athletes are all in! We kicked things off by installing three mini basketball hoops around the school, turning our hallways into the cutest courts you’ve ever seen.
Families joined in on the fun with custom brackets (because it’s never too early to start predicting champions 😉), and our students have been busy practicing their skills. From dribbling like pros to building hand-eye coordination, every bounce and basket has been a slam dunk for learning!
We even brought the madness home with a “nothing but net” snack—cheeseballs served in mini hoops to look just like basketballs. 🧀🏀 (Talk about a crowd favorite!)
In the classroom, our players-in-training worked on counting by twos, keeping tallies of their baskets, and celebrating every shot—made or missed. Because here, it’s not just about winning… it’s about learning, laughing, and loving the game.
Bracket busted or not, one thing’s for sure—March Madness at AOILV is a total slam dunk! 💛

St. Patrick's Day
A little bit of mischief (and a whole lot of magic!) filled our halls as we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀
Our students arrived to quite the surprise—Louie the Leprechaun had visited overnight! Classrooms and the enrichment room were completely “redecorated” with playful tricks and tiny hints that our sneaky guest had been busy while everyone was asleep. From flipped furniture to silly surprises, Louie definitely made his presence known!
The excitement didn’t stop there. At breakfast, students were shocked to find that their usual meal had been swapped for Lucky Charms and green milk—because apparently that’s what leprechauns prefer! And just when we thought Louie’s tricks were over, lunchtime brought even more giggles with green scrambled eggs on the menu.
All day long, our students worked together to try and catch Louie the Leprechaun, setting traps, sharing ideas, and using their imaginations. While he may have escaped (again!), the laughter, creativity, and teamwork we saw made the day truly magical.
At AOILV, you never know what might happen—but one thing is for sure, it’s always full of fun, wonder, and a little bit of leprechaun mischief! 🍀✨

Trains That Go! Around Hendersonville!
Our students had a special visit from Operation Lifesaver, a national nonprofit dedicated to teaching railroad safety. Because our town of Hendersonville sits along the Henderson Subdivision, it was the perfect opportunity for our preschoolers to learn how to stay safe around train tracks.
During the visit, the presenter shared simple but important safety lessons in a fun and age-appropriate way. Our students learned that train tracks are never a place to play, that we must always stay far away from the tracks, and that only trains belong on railroad tracks. Through stories, visuals, and interactive discussion, the children discovered why trains cannot stop quickly and why it’s so important to always listen to crossing signals.
The children were especially excited to talk about the trains they sometimes see in our community traveling between Evansville and Nashville. Connecting the lesson to something they recognize in their daily lives helped them better understand how railroads work and why safety rules matter.
We are so thankful to Operation Lifesaver for taking the time to visit our school and help teach our students how to be safe around trains. Learning about our community and how to stay safe in it is an important part of growing up, and our students did a wonderful job listening, asking questions, and practicing their new railroad safety knowledge! 🚦🚂

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
We celebrated the wonderful, whimsical world of Dr. Seuss and it was full of imagination, laughter, and a little bit of Seussical silliness!
Our students discovered bright and colorful Truffula Tree Tops in the Enrichment Room, inspired by The Lorax. They fluffed and fluffed their truffula tops, working together to build strong, beautiful trees to proudly “speak for the trees” just like the Lorax!
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, The Cat in the Hat was spotted popping into classrooms to join the fun before heading to the kitchen to serve up a tasty helping of Green Eggs and Ham at lunch! The smiles were as big as Thing One and Thing Two’s energy!
It was a joyful day filled with rhymes, reading, creativity, and celebrating the silly, magical world of Dr. Seuss. Oh, the fun we had!
